100 Day Ganesh Challenge

This 100 Day Ganesh Challenge, is the challenge that propelled me into a full time artist. Being born into a Jain family, I wouldn’t say that I am religious at all, however I am deeply spiritual. Little did I know that Ganesh is one on my angels always by my side. Even though I didn’t even know why I chose do create 100 Ganesh. It was meant to be. It was intuition! And in the end I created 101. Such an auspicious number.

100 Day Ganesh Challenge.

The idea was for me to release 1 Ganesh art piece everyday. However, discipline is not in my nature and having surgery in-between, set me back a good while. Instead of taking about 3 and a half months, it took me well over 7 months to complete.

Even though it took a while to finish, it was fun, I was playing. Literally playing with paint, texture, colour, pattern, making marks. I need to do this more! I took inspiration from what was around me - colour and pattern, using product packaging and mixed media to create. Going to different places - the PGA golf tour in surrey and even experiencing different things like sound healing, from what I saw even when my eyes were closed. Using all these eclectic avenues to create different pieces.

What the 100 Day Challenge taught me:

  1. Have fun, play. If it’s fun, it’s not work!

  2. It can be easy. You don’t have to make it difficult for yourself.

  3. Persistence. I nearly gave up half way. But I set myself a challenge and I stuck to it.

  4. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Once I let go of the pressure, the pieces would come about. I would sometimes release 2 pieces at a time, or 5 or sometimes even none.

  5. In a way, this challenge came about whilst healing, healing past traumas.

  6. Trust the process, initially I created to create, I didn’t even think about selling. However at the time of writing this post. There are only 18 Ganesh left. I even managed to raise £100 for charity.

It may be a while since I do another 100 day challenge. But it was incredible none the less.

We’ve had incredible feedback from Collectors saying they have beautiful energies being emitted from the Ganesh. All sorts from abundant energy to warrior energy. How does your one feel like to you?
